Sol de Mayo is a French design brand created by Monica Pigliacampo, bringing together handmade lighting, alpaca soft toys and knitted essentials crafted with care and natural materials.

All Sol de Mayo pieces are designed in France. Our lighting collection is handmade by Monica Pigliacampo in her atelier in Nancy, using merino wool, raffia, leather cord and paper yarn. Our alpaca soft toys are hand-knitted in Bolivia by women artisans in a small family-owned atelier, while our alpaca baby knitwear is handcrafted in Peru and our cashmere essentials in Nepal, both in small family-run ateliers

Rooted in Italian-Argentine heritage and shaped by a life in France, Sol de Mayo combines contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. Each piece is created slowly, in small series or made to order, with attention to texture, warmth and lasting quality.

Rather than following trends, the brand values simplicity, natural fibres and objects made to live gently within everyday spaces. From soft ambient lighting to knitted companions for children, Sol de Mayo creates pieces designed to bring warmth, calm and comfort into daily life.
